We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our team. Experience with supporting children with learning needs, speech and language needs or other general learning support work would be an advantage, as would having a good spelling, mathematical and grammar knowledge as well as IT skills. This may be supporting group work, helping children with behaviour choices, or nurturing individuals so that they become confident, independent learners. You will be asked to help teachers by displaying work, photocopying, preparing or clearing away equipment & resources and keeping the environment tidy and attractive.
- At lunchtime you would be responsible for caring for children by ensuring that their eating area is set up and clean before and after lunch, supporting lunch eating and then supervising and encouraging co-operative and fair play.
- In the afternoons, you will deliver interventions for individuals or specific groups of children from across the school.
The post will be for 28 3/4 hours per week (mornings and afternoons), 38 weeks (term time only). Salary will be Grade B point 1 - 2 (£17,364 -£17,711 full time equivalent) dependant on experience, on a pro rata basis.
